![]() ![]() What did the devs waste time on other than redoing a couple of textures, getting the anims for the cutscenes and adding basic 360 pad support? Oh I'm sorry, a couple of menus. Same goes for Mortal Kombat Komplete for PC, but at least there a consistent framerate is important seeing as it's a fighting game. Not even the 60fps they got right because they couldn't even be screwed putting frameskipping in, so they just bumped the requirements up to ridiculous proportions for a 9 year old game just so they can get away with not having to add a basic frame skipping option. Which the people at the Resident Evil Mods website had already done YEARS ago and FAR BETTER than this piece of ♥♥♥♥. It's just inconsistent crap, like them not re-doing the Separate Ways cutscenes because it's a pissant little extra and therefore no effort required.Īnd sorry if "ULTIMATE HD EDITION" leads me to believe that it's the Ultimate Edition of the game, instead of 3 HD textures, real-time cutscenes for the campaign only and some menu redesigns. If subtitles are so useless, how come Resident Evil 5, Revelations and 6 have them? Why would they add them if it's so redundant? If that's the case, why do the codec conversations have subtitles, but not the rest of the game? The codec conversations take place when there's literally no background noise or music, so all the voices come through loud and clear, and that's when you need the subtitles the least in the whole game. Hearing-impaired or deaf people don't exist either I presume. is useless.Īlso, this port is supposed to have everything the others had plus 60fps and *a few* HD textures. Making the dev team waste time doing something so silly that wasn't in any other version of the game. what's the point? if one wants to "practice english", go watch a movie or something. but if the characters are speaking the same language of the subtitles. Subtitles are there to help foreign people who don't understand english. There's no logic on having subtitles in english if they also speak in english. ![]() This version of the game will run at 60 frames per second for the first time and offers "everything" from previous releases, including the Separate Ways epilogue.Originally posted by Rλin:"Little effort" for nothing. Fully optimized for the wide screen, texts have been sharpened and textures have been upgraded on characters, backgrounds and in-game objects." As a quick look at screenshots or the trailer reveals, this doesn't put RE4's visuals on par with a modern game, but it does look decidedly better than the original release. The Ultimate HD Edition aims to be the definitive version of the game, with a press release explaining, "A complete visual overhaul has been performed to bring this revered title to the highest graphical quality ever. This is not the game's first appearance on PC, having been ported to the platform in 2007, but that version was much maligned for lacking native mouse support, among other things. Resident Evil 4, regarded by many as the best game in the long-running series, will be re-released once again next month in the form of a PC-only Ultimate HD Edition, Capcom announced today. ![]()
